He studied in Cambridge University and later was introduced to the royal court. Bacon made some achievements in his political career, but he was mainly remembered as a philosopher. He wrote many important books on philosophy and science, of which The Great Instauration won the attention of scholars both at home and abroad. His essays were famous for their brevity, compactness and powerfulness. He was considered a master of English prose.
