Question:
Some people who unexpectedly receive a large amount of money spend it on practical things, while others spend it for pleasure only, which do you think is better and why?
Tips:
1.Spending money on practical things.
2.It’s wise to spend money on things that last.
3.Small things like kitchen cooking wares, major purchase like a house.
4.Pleasures don’t last forever.
5.Pleasures fade away quickly.
6.Spending money on pleasure.
7.Life is short and you must live it to the fullest.
8.Travel the entire world when money isn’t a problem.
9.Things you own end up owning you.
10.People who get caught up with buying things for pleasure end up shopaholics.
二.范文
I prefer spending my money for pleasure only if I unexpectedly receive a large amount of it. First of all, I believe that life is short and I must live it to the fullest. I’ve always wanted to travel the entire world before I’m too old to do so. Nothing’s more exciting than meeting people from different cultures and listening to their stories. Also, spending money on buying things isn’t the thing for me. Because I believe that things you own end up owning you. It’s so easy for people to get caught up on buying stuff they don’t need, and spend all the time attending to them so they remain pristine.
1. pleasure:n.
Watching sports gave him great pleasure.
2. fullest:
Having Parkinson's disease is no reason to stop living life to its fullest extent.
3. pristine:adj.
Now the house is in pristine condition.
4. attend:vi.
Thousands of people attended the funeral.
1. I prefer spending my money for pleasure only if I unexpectedly receive a large amount of it.
prefer doing更喜歡做….,only if只要……
2. First of all, I believe that life is short and I must live it to the fullest.
First of all首先,that引起了賓語從句,to the fullest盡情的,最充分的。
3. I’ve always wanted to travel the entire world before I’m too old to do so.
too…to句型表示太…
4. Also, spending money on buying things isn’t the thing for me.
5. It’s so easy for people to get caught up on buying stuff they don’t need, and spend all the time attending to them so they remain pristine.
It is+adj+for sb+ to do sth,對某人而言做某事是怎樣的,caught up抓住,陷入;spend time doing sth。
